The Moments' Forever

Fatigue gnaws at my conciousness,
how much longer can I stay awake ?

Not longer no more I guess.
Its just a matter of time.
But what would I do if I could stay awake forever ?
If I would stay awake forever,
I'd just watch you breathe.
If I could stay awake,
If I would.

But I can't.

My conciousness slowly slipping away like water through my fingers.
16minutes.
You're breathing slowly.
Twilight dancing on trees and tainted glass.

11minutes.
Time passes fast dosen't it ?
It does when you don't realize it does,
and it dosen't when you do.

7minutes.
Lying back down,
I look at the sky.
Stars burning torches in the night,
thier light dispersing as my vision blurs.

4minutes.
Should I wake you ?
If you do wake however,
I'll no longer be here,
with a thought I'd walk among the stars,
passing from this world to the next.

2minutes.
Naah, waking you would be a waste.
Time begins to pass slower now,
how fast I want it to pass,
is how slow it'll be.
For desire slows the clocks claw.
Down to seconds now,
each is eternity,
but the last a moment,
then I can't feel any longer.
